Bin Laden and the History of Palestinians, Jews and Middle
East are an emanation of Hitler's
Loves and Paranoia
Anna Comemna, a Bizantine princess «born in purple», wrote
almost a thousand years ago:
Time in its irresistible and ceaseless flow carries along on
its flood all created things, and drowns them in the depths
of obscurity, no matter if they are quite unworthy of
mention or most noteworthy and important.
We may agree, of course. In fact, the streams of time swallow
loves and lives, swallow dreams and nightmares, the good and
evil. As Marcus Aurelius, two thousand years ago also stated:
«All the present time is a point in eternity. All things are
little, changeable, perishable».
But we can also adopt another view. There are things which
remain over time, obstinately. Not all is insignificant and
minor. Anna Comemna’s work – written for love to her father, and
to oppose the flowing of time – has remained and will endure as
a precious source of information about an epoch, as she
intended. In the same way, many of the seeds of good and evil,
of love and hate, present in us and in our societies, were also
planted in the past. They may come from thousands years ago,
without having being swallowed by the «irresistible and
ceaseless flow» of time.
See the Hitler case. He still lives in present Israeli and
Palestinian hates. Without Hitler and his persecutions of the
Jewish people, this wouldn’t have flowed massively to the Middle
East, and many recent confrontations wouldn’t have happened. All
would be different, and Bin Laden and the present Islamic
inspired terrorism wouldn’t exist. The cancer that Hitler opened
in the body of humanity is still alive, in the hates of the
Middle East contenders and in the bombs that are lacerating that
part of the world.
And that is something that doesn’t apply only to the powerful
men and their deeds – the «prophets, the caliphs, the sultans
and the great religious and political men», to quote a Hindu
source. The deeds and acts of the «insignificant people, the
untrustworthy, the incapable of unknown origin and depraved
nature, without lineage or with a low one, the loafers and the
bazaar idle»*, to cite the same source, also endure and leave
their seeds. We can see them in the roads they have built, or in
the planted trees, and also in the loves and hates people may
nowadays show.
In fact, not all the seeds of love (or of paranoia) we all
transmit in our daily life die. Many of them have the capability
of reproducing and deflecting in those with who we relate, and,
by this way, in the future generations, in a chained process.
They behave as true genes, living and reproducing in our brains
and behaviours, and in our acts.
